The new Cornelius W. Hauck Restoration Facility, commonly known as the Roundhouse, was dedicated July 15, 2000, in a gala ceremony with Corny in attendance. The five-stall roundhouse is a composite design built to represent a small division point on a prosperous railroad. A feature of note is an inspection pit and drop pit in stall one.

The machine shop, welding, and wood shop tools have been moved inside the roundhouse. A properly-designed electrical system has been installed to handle current and future needs. A new Ingersoll-Rand air compressor has been installed in the boxcar behind the roundhouse that serves as storage. The wood shop vacuum system is next. A visitor's gallery is open for the guests to observe restoration in progress during business hours.
Roundhouse with "armstrong" turntable is now operational.

The roundhouse facility is now complete, and restoration programs are underway in all five stalls. A "half-draw" lead track centers narrow gauge equipment on the 4-rail turntable. The turntable beam is so well-balanced that one man pushing on the long turning pole is able to rotate a locomotive. Won't you please make a donation?
